Second Season is built on a community of grassroots volunteers, including transplant recipients, who understand the journey firsthand. United by compassion and purpose, they work to uplift lung transplant recipients and those awaiting transplantation through meaningful outdoor experiences, peer support, and supportive community events.
We promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being through meaningful outdoor experiences that bring moments of renewal and connection to those navigating the transplant journey. Alongside patients and their families, we help foster a compassionate Northern Nevada community rooted in understanding and hope. Through shared experiences, storytelling, and inclusive events, we create opportunities for encouragement, belonging, and a true sense of a second season—without replacing care, but complementing it in ways only community and the outdoors can provide.
Second Season Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c), organization.
To make a positive impact and create a better future for lung transplant patients.
